About Toombs Consulting

Toombs Consulting is an independent SuccessFactors Employee Central practice, operating since 2010. We have delivered 30+ EC implementations across manufacturing, energy, financial services, transportation, technology, public sector, retail, and life sciences — as the lead EC workstream for SI partner firms, and as independent advisors to HR leaders running their own programs.

We do one thing. Employee Central and the core hybrid architecture around it: Foundation Objects, Position Management, RBP, MDF, workflows, event reasons, EC↔ECP integration, and replication. We are not a generalist HCM shop that also takes EC work.

Employee Central, Built to Last.

Principal-led. Every engagement is led by a principal consultant who stays on it. No pattern where a senior name wins the work and a junior delivers it.

Right-sized. Most of what we do is a single senior practitioner embedded in an existing delivery team, because that is what the work actually needs. When a scope genuinely needs more — parallel workstreams, a multi-country rollout, a compressed timeline — we assemble the team from a vetted network of independent Employee Central specialists we have delivered alongside before.

Senior on every seat. The network exists so we can scale capacity without diluting depth. Every person we put in front of a client is someone we would put on our own name.

Independent by design. Toombs Consulting has operated as an independent practice since 2010. Our founder’s earlier career ran through PwC and IBM, so the delivery norms of large SI shops are familiar to us, not foreign.

Practitioner-first. In-the-weeds depth, not advisory from a deck. We are still configuring tenants today.

Built to last. Every engagement is filtered through one question: will this hold up across half-yearly releases, M&A activity, and team turnover? That is the throughline of every recommendation we make.

Brandon founded Toombs Consulting in 2010. More than 25 years in SAP HR technologies and over a decade focused on Employee Central, following earlier roles at PwC and IBM. He leads the practice and remains hands-on in delivery.
